LAOS - MPT Type Approval - Overview

The Laos Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (MPT) serves as the national authority responsible for regulating Radio and Telecommunication Equipment Type Approvals in Laos.

With mandatory local representation requirement, Laos MPT Type approvals are either valid for 3 years [Type 1 equipment ] or one year [Type 2 equipment supporting cellular communication]. FCC or EU documentation is accepted by MPT for the purposes of Type Approval documentation assessment.
