Indonesia Updates Wireless Power Transmission (WPT) Standards
Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Digital (KOMDIGI) has enacted new regulations for Wireless Power Transmission (WPT) devices, improving safety, efficiency, and compliance with global standards.
Key Highlights of Ministerial Decree No. 46/2025
Mandatory Radiated Testing
All WPT devices must undergo radiated emissions testing to prevent interference with other electronic systems.
Manufacturers and importers are required to conduct these tests at certified laboratories before applying for official certification.
New Frequency Bands for WPT Devices
315-405 kHz: Designed for low-frequency industrial and commercial applications.
1700-1800 kHz: Ideal for mid-range power transmission, including wireless charging solutions.
13.553-13.567 MHz: Allocated for high-frequency applications, such as fast-charging systems.
Transition Period for Test Reports
Test reports issued before 15 Feb, under the previous regulation (KM 260/2024) remain valid if they:
Align with the updated standards.
Do not conflict with the new technical requirements.
Originate from accredited testing laboratories.
Full compliance with the new regulation becomes mandatory after the transition period.
