A new Type Approval Regulation has been recently published by the Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) in Kuwait. The notable update in this regulation is an extension of the Type Approval validity period, which has been increased from 1 year to 3 years.

As per the new guidelines, renewals for Type Approvals must be initiated within 3 months prior to expiration and can be completed up to 20 days after expiration. Failure to adhere to this timeline will necessitate a new application for a certificate.
