Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) has officially published new frequency policy 2080 on their website.

As per this frequency policy, some important updates are announced by NTA including the allow for UWB and 856 Mhz band.

The policy has also extended the allowed 5 Ghz band as below:

1. 5.150 - 5.350 GHz

2. 5.470 – 5.650 GHz

3. 5.725 – 5.825 GHz

Maximum allowed transmitter Output Power for this band is 1W (30 dBm) and maximum            Effective Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP) is 4W (36 dBm).
