The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has initiated the process for the 5G spectrum auction by hiring an international consultant. The goal is to devise a strategy for releasing IMT spectrum, with the aim of enhancing next-generation mobile broadband services.

The Expression of Interest (EOI) from internationally reputed consultants or consultancy firms is due by July 15, 2024. Official link below :

As the process continues, the regulatory acceptance for Pakistan/PTA Type Approval for devices operating in 5G bands is also expected to mature.
