The Syrian Telecommunications & Post Regulatory Authority (SY-TPRA) has declared that beginning December 20, 2020, all new applications must include an IEC 62368-1 safety test report. Safety test reports based on the earlier standards, IEC 60950-1 and IEC 60065, will no longer be accepted by SY-TPRA for new submissions after this date.

The test reports that were previously submitted based on IEC 60950-1 and IEC 60065 will still be acceptable for the renewal of devices that have already received approval. For renewal applications, further testing is not necessary.
