The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) serves as the national authority in Singapore responsible for regulating Radio and Telecommunication Equipment Type Approvals in-line with the enacted technical standards and parameters.

With a mandatory requirement for local representation and applications submisison only through the registered IMDA dealers, IMDA Type Approvals are valid for five years.  

IMDA accepts documentation from the FCC or EU for the assessment of Type Approval submissions. It is to be noted that IMDA certifies equipment separetely for separate technology mixes.
